dream big. love life. spread good vibes.
Hello lovely people! I am Ana, a free-spirited, fun-loving, full-time vagabond! Since graduating college in May of 2010, I have been on a mission to travel the world, live life to the fullest and spread good vibes along the way! So far, it has been an epic adventure across nearly 40 countries, and I have experienced many amazing moments through it all! (FULL STORY).
I have always valued experiences over possessions, and although I have no base, no apartment, no car and no idea where life will take me…I embrace all of the excitement that comes along with the unpredictability of my free-spirited lifestyle!
After an accident in early 2018 left me with multiple fractures in my heel bone, the inability to walk and a recovery timeframe of up to 8 months, I was forced to take a break from my dream job as a yacht stewardess in the Bahamas, as well as my vagabond way of life.
Although this wasn’t my favorite experience, it definitely played a major role in shifting the direction of my focus, and ultimately, the direction of my life! For years I had been putting off my dream of creating a travel & lifestyle brand, and I realized that finally I was given the golden opportunity to bring my vision to fruition!
I made a decision to take advantage of the time and space that this seemingly unfortunate event had so conveniently created for me! Since the beginning of this year, I have been pouring all of my energy into building a brand which I believe will positively impact any and all who stumble upon my site! (ABOUT THE BRAND).
I would like The Art of Epic Living to be a space for those who are interested in optimizing their human experience, whether in regards to travel, lifestyle or mindset! I hope to share valuable content with fellow dreamers who would like to live life in an epic way, and to inspire new perspectives toward the world around us!
wake up and live.
This trip marks my first time overseas. I was supposed to be gone for one month, and ended up staying for five! I traveled through Belgium, France, Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, England, Croatia, Italy, Bosnia, Serbia, Hungary, Czech Republic and Germany.
Club Med was my first “real job” out of college. I was a kid’s club counselor at an all-inclusive resort, and my daily schedule included activities such as trapeze, sailing, dance class, art and circus school!
I had the privilege of spending about half of 2011 in absoloute paradise: Lagos, Portugal! I worked as a booze cruise leader, and lived the life of my dreams!
I started 2012 off the right way, with a one ticket adventure to South America! I spent four months trekking through a variety of beautiful landscapes, and encountering beautiful people along the way!
YACHT LIFE IN MIAMI
I began my career in the yachting industry as a stewardess aboard a 93’ mega yacht! I also picked up work as a promoter and dinner party hostess in the clubs of Miami on the side. Life was good!
MIAMI TO IBIZA
I returned to Europe, and based for the summer on the party island of Ibiza. I spent my time enjoying the beach, enjoying the nightlife, finding work on boats and living in a hippie commune!
CRUISING THE CARIBBEAN
I spent the winter season working on boats around Florida, The Bahamas, and the Caribbean. Life is a beach!
MIAMI & PUERTO RICO
I spent sunny days, bouncing between Miami, the Bahamas and Puerto Rico!
GREECE & TURKEY
Back to Europe! I began my trip with a month in Turkey- sailing, hot air ballooning and exploring around! After that, I worked for a company called “Life is a Beach Party”on the Greek island of Ios. Another summer of fun and sun!
I spent the second half of the summer of 2014 in the Caribbean, working on boats, and replenishing my funds! I sailed through the Bahamas, St. Martin, St. Barthes, the US Virgin Islands, the British Virgin Islands and Florida.
I returned to Europe again in the fall. I made pit stops in Portugal and Venice, and met up with my friends to sail the islands of Italy!
BACK TO THE BAHAMAS
I returned to the Bahamas once again, to spend some time working and saving before my next adventure.
I explored new territory, with a trip to Central America! I also ventured to the Yucutan Peninsula and the Bahamas for a couple of yacht gigs!
EAST COAST, WEST COAST, BURNING MAN
I continued working through the summer aboard boats. My jobs took me to NYC, Seattle and British Columbia. I ended my summer with a roadtrip to Burning Man.
HOUSESITTING IN ECUADOR
After Burning Man, I spent a month housesitting a beachfront condo in Manta, Ecuador.
I picked up a job on a boat cruising through the Galapagos Islands for a month!
I spent some time in the Bahamas working, and then ventured to Colombia to explore the coast, by land and by sailboat!
THE COAST OF OAXACA, MEXICO
I found my dream land along the Pacific Coast of Mexico, in the state of Oaxaca! I fell in love with the vibe and the beaches, and ended up staying for a few months.
SUMMER IN THE BAHAMAS
I spent my summer working and living the island life, back in the Bahamas.
I randomly decided to go to China to train in Kung Fu, expose myself to a new culture and explore through amazing landscapes!
THE ART OF EPIC LIVING IS BORN
My vision with The Art of Epic Living came to me! I went to Mexico for a bit to gather my ideas, and then spent 3 months working and saving in the Bahamas!
BACK TO MEXICO!
I landed a housesitting position in San Miguel de Allende! I worked hard on my website, and enjoyed my beautiful surroundings!
VIVA LA MEXICO!
After my housesitting position, I headed south to my favorite place in the world- the coast of Oaxaca! I worked with filmmakers and friends in an attempt to build my brand!
One day I woke up and received an impromptu invite to go sailing in the Caribbean! Although I had very little money, I decided that life is short and flew to the island of Antigua!
I joined a few friends and sailed around the British Virgin Islands! We explored the beautiful waters, hitchhiked the beautiful islands and even celebrated Easter together!
BACK TO THE BAHAMAS
After nearly running completely out of money, I decided to replenish my funds. I joined my favorite boat in the Bahamas for a few months.
I headed to Bali for the second half of my summer- I ended up spending two months exploring this beautiful island
HOUSESITTING IN PARADISE
After coming back to NY from Bali, I ended up landing a housesitting position in beautiful Ajijic, Mexico!
BACK TO THE BAHAMAS
I returned to work with many travel expenses to pay off, and spent 3 months enjoying my job in the Bahamas…until something very unexpected happened…
the world is waiting for you.

think less. do more
life is a journey. enjoy the ride.
I am from the United States originally. I was born and raised in a tiny town 4 hours north of New York city, called Otego, in the state of New York.
28, born 4/20/88...... 420 :)
Yes, at SUNY Geneseo. I graduated in May of 2010, and have a degree in marketing.
I work as I travel much of the time, and earn money while abroad. I also have minimal expenses since I do not have an apartment, car or many possessions. The cost of living is much cheaper outside of the US in many countries, and so my dollars go a long way!
At the moment, I am a freelance stewardess on mega-yachts! …AND…obviously, an aspiring writer/youtube creator!
I have worked in all-inclusive resorts, hotels, hostels, as a bar crawl leader, booze cruise leader, party planner, club promoter, housesitter, estate stewardess and yacht stewardess!
Well, I do not have a base! I basically live out of my suitcase! While working on yachts, I live on the boats, and while not working, I am bouncing from place to place with my travels!
I have had many short-term "homes" over the years as a traveler. I am usually traveling through places without necessarily basing there- but, there have been a few exceptions to the rule! I have been back and forth (over the past four years) to The Bahamas more than any country, since I often work on boats which are based here. I have also "lived" in Mexico (4 months), Portugal (6 months), Croatia (3 months), Peru (1 month), Greece (2 months) and the US (up until I was 22!).
Since May of 2010
